The M7 (Armenian: Մ 7) is a main road in northwestern Armenia . The road begins in Spitak and runs through the city of Gyumri to the Turkish border.
history
The M7 was originally one of the main routes from Turkey to the Caucasus . After Armenia gained independence and the subsequent war in Nagorno-Karabakh , Turkey closed the border with Armenia in 1993.
