The MAD game is based on the magazine of the same name ( MAD magazine ). The aim of the game, released by Parker Brothers in 1979 in the United States and 1982 in Germany , is to be the first to spend all of your money. The game principle is based on the game Go For Broke (later Mankomania ) published in 1965 and, like this, is based on the game principle of Monopoly .

MAD magazine artists Sergio Aragonés , Dave Berg , Jack Davis , Mort Drucker , Al Jaffee , Don Martin and Antonio Prohías designed the game board.

The game was published by Miro Meccano in France , Borras Plana in Spain , Alga in Finland and Clipper in the Netherlands .

In the MAD game, the dice are rolled counter-clockwise and only with the left hand (if you roll the dice with the right hand, you get money) and each player must then move his pawn by the number rolled. Depending on which field you land on, you have to pay money, collect money or draw an event card. The game situation often changes in this game, as many event cards require the players to swap their places and thus also their money. Sometimes the payments that have to be made depend on whether a player is leaning on the gaming table or how well a player can perform certain actions.

The highest bill in this game is worth $ 1,329,063.00 . A player receives this banknote if his name is Alfred E. Neumann and enters a certain playing field with his playing figure.

Like MAD magazine , this game is rather bizarre. The target group is identical to that of the MAD magazine.
