MTN Domestic Championship 2006/07

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The MTN Domestic Championship 2006/07 was the 26th edition of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between September 29 and November 17, 2006 between the six South African first-class franchises over 45 overs each . In the final, the Cape Cobras were able to prevail against the Warriors with 38 runs .

format

The seven teams played in a group twice against each other team. There are four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semifinals, the winner of which will determine the winner of the competition in the final.
