from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Standard Bank Cup 2003/04 was the 23rd staging of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between November 21, 2003 and February 29, 2004 between the eleven South African first-class regions over 45 overs each . In the final, the Eastern Province prevailed against the Gauteng with 7 wickets .

format

The eleven teams played in a group once against each other team. There are five points for a win, three for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semifinals, the winner of which will determine the winner of the competition in the final.
