Standard Bank Cup 2004/05

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Standard Bank Cup 2004/05 was the 24th staging of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between November 12, 2004 and February 23, 2005 between the six South African first-class franchises over 45 overs each . In the final, the Eagles were able to prevail against the Titans with 7 wickets .

format

The six teams played in a group twice against each other team. There are five points for a win, three for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semifinals, the winner of which will determine the winner of the competition in the final.
