MTN40 2009/10
The MTN40 2009/10 was the 29th staging of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between October 28, 2009 and January 29, 2010 between the six South African first-class franchises over 40 overs each . In the final, the Warriors beat the Dolphins with 71 runs .
format
The six teams played in a group twice against each other team. There are four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semifinals, the winner of which will determine the winner of the competition in the final.
