Małgorzata Saramonowicz

Małgorzata Saramonowicz (born November 13, 1964 in Warsaw ) is a Polish Polonist , journalist and writer.

Life

After studying Polish literature and history at the University of Warsaw , she was employed as a teacher for a while from 1992. She then worked as an editor for the daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza and for the Polish-language women's magazine Elle .

She made her debut as a co-author in 1989 with the novel Akropoliada . The novel Die Sister (Siostra), which appeared in 1996, has been translated into German, Lithuanian and Dutch. The second edition came into bookshops in 1999. The third novel Spiegel (Lustra) from 1999 was translated into German, Croatian and Lithuanian. The historical novel Triglaw (Trygław. Władca Losu) about a Slavic deity from Slavic mythology is the first part of the book series Nefas' books (Xięgi Nefasa).

During her studies, she married the film director Andrzej Saramonowicz in 1984. The couple spend their holidays with their daughters Konstancja and Roza in Siena, Italy .
