maNga is the debut album of the nu-metal band maNga of the same name from 2004. It was distributed by the GRGDN and Sony Music labels . Producers are Haluk Kurosman, Hadi Elazzi, Selim Serezli and Yağmur Sarıgül . The album was produced in Ulus Studios by GRGDN Ulus. In Turkey , the album reached the gold record with 100,000 records sold .
In 2006, maNga + was a new release with 2 additional songs, Kandirma Kendini and Raptiye Rap Rap , as well as a DVD with the music videos for the songs Bir Kadin Cizeceksin , Bitti Rüya , Dursun Zaman and Kandirma Kendini . This was produced by Epic Records , among others , and this also sold nearly 100,000 times.
Cover and booklet
The cover shows the band mascot Spa , which has been smeared with paint and is holding paint spray in his hand. There are more spray cans in the background. In the booklet and on the CD, the band's musicians are represented as manga characters. Spa appeared in the band's first music videos. Since 2009, however, the band has been doing without him.
Guest musician
In addition to Haluk Kurosman, who recorded the piano for the album , other guest musicians from well-known Turkish bands joined them, such as Koray Candemir von Kargo (vocals in the songs Kal Yanimda and Yalan 2 ), Deniz Özbey Akyüz from Vega (vocals in the song Iz Birakanlar Unutulmaz) and Göksel , who sang in the song Dursun Zaman . Dursun Zaman originated from the poem Kara Toprak by Aşık Veysel . Ali Sarıgül played the Ney for the album to the songs Acilis and Kapanis . Özgür Sarı played piano in the songs Yalan and Itildik . For the songs Bitti Rüya , Sakin Bana Söyleme and Bir Kadin Cizeceksin , Tülay Karsin and Kerem Berkalp played the violin , Göknil Özkök Genc the viola and Didem Erken the cello .
