Titular bishopric of Azotus
Azotus ( Italian : Azoto ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
The name goes back to the Greek name for the city of Ashdod (Greek Αζωτος). The ancient bishop's seat was in the Roman province of Palestina Prima and belonged to the church province of Caesarea Maritima .
