Mablethorpe is a small town in District East Lindsey the English county of Lincolnshire . Together with the suburbs of Sutton-on-Sea and Trusthorpe, it forms the municipality of Mablethorpe and Sutton , which in 2001 had a total of 11,780 inhabitants.

The seaside resort is located 35 km as the crow flies southeast of Grimsby and 60 km east of Lincoln on the North Sea coast .
history
Mablethorpe was hit hard by the 1953 flood disaster .

In Mablethorpe begin and end the A-roads A52 (to Newcastle-under-Lyme ), A157 (by Wragby , connection to Lincoln) and A1031 (after Cleethorpes ). Connection to the trunk road network can be obtained via the nearby A16 to the north at Grimsby ( M180 ) and to the south at Peterborough ( A1 (M) ).
