The MacDonald Peak is a 1,940 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . It looms between Shockey Peak and Mount Crawford near the northern end of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains .
The American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth discovered him during his transantarctic flight on November 23, 1935. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1961 after William R. MacDonald (1925–1977) of the special mapping department of the United States Geological Survey , who carried out the Made a map of the Sentinel Range published by the Survey in 1962.
