Maciej Stanislaw Iwański (born May 7, 1981 in Krakow , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .
Career
Iwański began his professional career at his hometown club Omag Oświęcim , from where he moved in 1999 to local rivals Unia Oświęcim . He only stayed there for a year and so he switched to Szczakowianka Jaworzno during the summer break of 2000 , where Iwanski stayed until winter 2004. After strong performances there, the first division club Zagłębie Lubin became aware of the Krakauer and signed him for four seasons. At Lubin, Iwański not only completed his first minutes in the Ekstraklasa , but also won the championship and the Polish Super Cup in 2007.
In 2008 he moved to KP Legia Warsaw for an estimated transfer fee of 650,000 euros , where he also won the Polish Super Cup right from the start. He played here from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, he won the Polish Cup, the last title at the traditional club, and scored twelve goals in 71 games in the Ekstraklasa for Legia Warsaw.
In January 2011 he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for the first division club Manisaspor for an estimated 250,000 euros . After only one year and thirteen missions, he returned to Poland to ŁKS Łódź .
For the 2012/13 season he moved to Manisaspor again . Before the start of the 2013/14 season, he dissolved his contract with Manisaspor again and signed a one-year contract with the Polish first division club Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała .
In 2015/16 he was under contract with the Polish record champions Ruch Chorzów , then paused for a year and then joined fourth division Unia Oświęcim . The midfielder ended his career here in the summer of 2018.
Career in the national team
On December 6, 2006 , Iwański made his debut for the Polish national team in a 5-2 win over the United Arab Emirates .
