Madagascar ( German : Madagascar ) is an action-adventure - and platformer - video game released in 2005 for Xbox , PlayStation 2 , Nintendo GameCube , Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Advance . It is based on the American animated film Madagascar .
action
The plot of the game is essentially the same as that of the film of the same name. Alex the lion , Marty the zebra , Gloria the hippopotamus, and Melman the giraffe all live at the New York Zoo . Except for Marty, all of the zoo's residents are happy with their lives there. However, when Marty learns how some penguins are planning an outbreak, the group gets out of the zoo and into the jungle of Madagascar.
Gameplay
In the game, the four main characters as well as the penguins can be controlled in different levels. Each character has its own skills that the player can use to advance in the game.
