Madelberta († around 705 in Maubeuge ) was abbess of Maubeuge Monastery and, as a saint of the Catholic Church, is the patron saint of pregnant women and happy births.

She was born as the daughter of the holy Waldtraud and her husband Vinzenz Madelgar, the Count of Hainaut and a follower of Dagobert I. Her siblings were the holy Landricus , the abbot of the monasteries founded by their father in Soignies and Hautmont and probably mission bishop in Area around Brussels and died around 700, and as a younger sister, St. Adeltrud , who followed Aunt Adelgundis as Abbess of Maubeuge , and St. Dentelin , who died at the age of seven.

She became abbess of the Benedictine monastery in Maubeuge around 696, succeeding her sister. She was first buried in Maubeuge. In 722 their relics were transferred to Liège .

Her feast day is September 7th . She is depicted in the Benedictine nuns' habit.
