Madeleine Touros d'Heinze

Madeleine Touros Count d'Heinze Chevalier Seigneur de Millon de Vigny (* 1729 in France , † December 7, 1810 in Luckenwalde ) was a Prussian major general and engineer.

Life

Military career

In 1741 he first came into French service. He took part in the campaign against Austria between 1742 and 1749. He was wounded in the head during the siege of Mons and buried during the siege of Maastricht . In 1746 he became a lieutenant, in 1749 a captain and in 1760 a major in the engineering corps . The Prussian General Salenmon recommended him to his King Friedrich II. The latter sent the Major 600 thalers and Major Heinze came to Potsdam. On February 14, 1768 he became a Prussian lieutenant colonel (with a patent from February 17, 1768) and a salary of 2200 thalers. On July 25, 1768, he was commissioned to inspect and record the Kolberg fortress together with Captain Le Clair .

On June 17, 1770 he was given leave to go to trial in the Austrian Netherlands . Then on July 1, 1773 he was sent to Marienburg to reorganize the fortress construction in West Prussia . On March 7, 1774 he was assigned five engineer officers to support him, including Karl Friedrich Erhard von Legat . He then took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On June 15, 1787, he was a colonel and on January 29, 1793, he was appointed major general selon votre ardent desir. He was also the chief brigadier of engineers in Prussia and Pomerania.
