Madeleine West (* 26 July 1979 in Bondi Beach , Sydney , New South Wales as Melanie Weston ) is an Australian actress .

life and career

Madeleine West was established in July 1979 in Bondi Beach , a suburb of Sydney , in the Australian state of New South Wales as Melanie Weston born. She began acting at a young age in front of her parents and friends. In 1992 she joined the New South Wales Talented Child Drama Ensemble and decided to postpone her law studies indefinitely and instead concentrate on her acting career. She then appeared in several plays and got her first role in 2000 as Dione Bliss in the Australian soap opera Neighbors . There she was seen in over 400 episodes until 2003. After leaving the series, she starred in the television films Big Reef and Hercules in 2004 and 2005 . After a year off, West made her screen debut in The Death Row . In 2007 she was also seen in three episodes of the US series The Starter Wife . From 2007 to 2010 she played the role of Mel in 30 episodes in the drama series Satisfaction , for which she was nominated in 2009 for a Logie Award in the category Best Actress . In 2008 she got the role of Danielle McGuire in the miniseries Underbelly and won an AFI Award in 2008 in the category Best Guest or Supporting Actress . In 2010 she starred in Matching Jack alongside James Nesbitt and Jacinda Barrett , as well as in four episodes of the television series Rescue: Special Ops .

Madeleine West has been married to chef Shannon Bennett since 2001. They have a daughter (* 2005) and a son (* 2008) together.
