Madonna and Child in Gannat

The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Ste-Croix church in Gannat , a French commune in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was created in the 18th century. In 1982 the baroque sculpture was classified as a monument historique .

The wooden sculpture is colored in focus and gilded. The baby Jesus is sitting on Mary's left arm , both of them look at the viewer.
