Magali Pache (born June 11, 1978 in Matran , † September 3, 2000 in Saint-Amand-Montrond , France ) was a Swiss cyclist .
In 1999 Magali Pache became Swiss junior champion in the individual time trial on the road . In 1999 she took third place at the national championships in the Omnium on the track .
In 2000 Pache became Swiss champion in the omnium. A week later she started at the Trophée d'Or Féminin in France. After completing a stage, she was hit by a car on her way to her hotel and was fatally injured. The car involved in the accident also crashed into a team van, and two female cyclists seated in it were injured in the impact. The driver was arrested.
In 2005, in memory of Magali Pache, her family and friends founded a foundation named after her to support women's cycling . From 2001 to 2010, the Grand Prix de Suisse-Souvenir Magali Pache , an invitation race for women, was held seven times as part of the Tour de Romandie .
