Career

Racing Strasbourg

Magaye Gueye was born in Nogent-sur-Marne, France, to Senegalese parents. He began his career at the Paris suburb US Lognes . At the age of twelve, he entered the Racing Strasbourg Youth Academy in 2002 . On October 30, 2008, he signed a professional contract dated until June 2012 there. He made his debut on November 3, 2008 in the league game against RC Lens , which ended 1-1. He made his first start on April 10, 2009, again against Lens.

Everton FC

In June 2010 he signed a five-year contract with Everton FC . The transfer fee was around one million euros. He made his debut during a pre-season tour of Australia in a friendly against Sydney FC . He scored his first goal in a 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar a week later. He celebrated his competition premiere in the League Cup against Huddersfield Town . For his first league game he came as a substitute for Séamus Coleman against Aston Villa . He had his first starting eleven on April 9, 2011 in the 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers .

Stade Brest

During the winter break of the 2012/13 season he was awarded to Stade Brest for the rest of the season . He celebrated his debut there on February 9, 2013 against Valenciennes FC . In total, he came to eight games for the club.

Millwall FC

For the 2014/15 season Gueye moved to Millwall FC .

Adanaspor

In the summer of 2015, Gueye was hired by the Turkish second division club Adanaspor .

National team

Gueye went through the French U-16, U-19, U-20 and U-21. In June 2012 he moved to the Senegalese association, with whose U-23 national team he took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
