Magdalena Müllerperth

Magdalena Müllerperth (born September 18, 1992 in Pforzheim ) is a German pianist .

Life

She received her first piano lessons at the age of 5 and at the age of eight she became a student of Prof. Sontraud Speidel , from 2003 as a young student in her class at the Karlsruhe University of Music . A stay in the USA followed with piano studies with Alexander Braginsky at Hamline University in Saint Paul , Minnesota. She continued her studies with Jerome Rose at Mannes College in New York from 2010 to 2014. After completing her bachelor's degree, Magdalena Müllerperth switched to the UdK Berlin to work with Professor Klaus Hellwig and obtain a master’s degree.

In 2009 she made her solo debut with a piano recital as part of the Maulbronn monastery concerts . The press wrote: "A firestorm is racing over the keys", but also: "..Magdalena Müllerperth tasted the sweet melody .. sensitively and soulfully". Since then she has given piano recitals, a. a. in the Mozart Hall of the Liederhalle Stuttgart, Franziskaner Konzerthaus (Villingen-Schwenningen), Sendesaal Bremen and at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival .

Müllerperth has been invited as a soloist to concerts with well-known orchestras such as the Stuttgart Philharmonic , the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, the Filarmonia George Enescu, the Bern Symphony Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra .

  • 2002: 1st prize in the solo category at "Les Rencontres Internationales des Jeunes Pianistes de l'An 2002" in Vresse-sur-Semois , Belgium
  • 2004: 1st prize and Premio della Critica (RAI) for the best piano playing of all participants in the "Concorso Europeo di Musica, Pietro Argento" in Gioia del Colle / Bari , Italy
  • 2005: 1st prize in the national competition " Jugend musiziert "
  • 2008: 1st prize at the "Minnesota Orchestra, Young People's Symphony Concert Association, 53rd Annual School Music Auditions" in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
  • 2010: Lichtenberg Music Prize from the Lichtenberg Music Foundation Herfried Apel
  • 2012: 1st prize and audience prize at the Kissinger Piano Olympics competition
