The Bern Symphony Orchestra (BSO) was founded in 1877 and is now one of the largest orchestras in Switzerland. Consisting of around 100 musicians, the BSO plays around 50 concerts per season (including symphony, extra, lunchtime and family concerts as well as matinees).
