Magnus Knigge (born September 25, 1974 in Schwäbisch Hall ; also Magnus Freiherr von Knigge ) is a former German bobsleigh athlete (pusher).

Life

Knigge attended the Marquartstein State School Home . In 1995 he graduated from high school, but not at the Landschulheim.

He came to bobsleigh in 1993 while still at school. He started for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof , then after his school days as a sports soldier . He was pushing the bobsleighs of various pilots, including Matthias Höpfner , André Lange and Wolfgang Hoppe .

He was junior world champion in the four-man bobsleigh in 1998 with André Lange, he won silver at the junior world championships in 1996 in the four-man bobsleigh with André Lange and in 1999 in the four-man bobsleigh with Matthias Höpfner. His greatest success in the senior category was fourth place in the World Cup race in Cortina d'Ampezzo and fifth place in Winterberg 1997 in Hoppe's four-man bobsleigh.

In the summer of 2000 he ended his active bobsleigh career.

He is now in the Nord / LB operates.
