BSR Rennsteig Oberhof

The BSR Rennsteig Oberhof ("B" stands for bobsleigh , "S" for skeleton sport and "R" for luge sport) is one of the most successful winter sports clubs in Germany. The sports club from Oberhof in Thuringia was founded in 1993. Since then, the club's athletes have won twelve Olympic and 48 World Cup medals. In all age groups there were a total of 80 championship titles in Germany. The association has around 150 members and aims to promote the three Olympic ice channel sports in Germany.

The bobsleigh teams of André Lange ( René Hoppe , Kevin Kuske , Martin Putze , Thomas Pöge , Udo Lehmann ) and Claudia Schramm ( Stefanie Szczurek and Nicole Herschmann ) compete for the BSR Oberhof . In addition, Wolfgang Hoppe belongs to the association . The club's current figureheads in skeleton sports include Monique Riekewald , Kati Klinzing , Julia Eichhorn , Marion Thees , Kathleen Lorenz and David Ludwig . In addition, the former world-class driver Andy Böhme is a member of the club. Luge athletes Silke Kraushaar , Jan Eichhorn , André Florschütz , Marcel Lorenz and Christian Baude are currently starting for the club. Other members and former starters for the club are the Olympic champions Stefan Krauße , Jan Behrendt and Jens Müller .
