Magnus Persson

Magnus Persson (born December 17, 1990 in Halmstad - Snöstorp , Sweden ) is a Swedish handball player .

The 1.92 m tall and 92 kg heavy right back player started playing handball at HK Drott in Halmstad . There the left-hander made his debut in the Elitserien at the age of 17 . With Drott he took part in the 2010/11 EHF European Cup Winners' Cup, in which he reached the quarter-finals. In the 2012/13 season the Swede with the shirt number 10 became Swedish champion. By February 2014, he had scored 849 goals in 249 league games. In the EHF Champions League 2013/14 he was also one of the top scorers in the competition after the group stage with 67 goals. From the 2014/15 season he played for the German Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach , with whom he signed a contract until 2016. He then joined the Swedish first division club Alingsås HK . He has been under contract with HK Malmö since the 2018/19 season .

Magnus Persson played 37 times in the Swedish U19 and U22 teams (95 goals). In the Swedish national team he made his debut on June 4, 2013 against Poland . In 2014 he took part in the European Championship in Denmark. So far, the student has played 32 international matches in which he scored 34 goals.
