Mahmut Temür (born October 8, 1989 in Düren ) is a Turkish football player who is used in the central or outer midfield .

career

Temür started playing soccer at SG Düren 99 with the Bambini and in 1999 moved to the D-youth of Sportfreunde Düren. He played there for five years and moved to the B-youth team of FC Düren-Niederau for the 2004/2005 season . From there he moved to the A-youth of 1. FC Köln in 2005 . In the 2007/08 season he drew attention to himself in the U-19 team when he scored 17 goals in 23 games and reached the finals of the German A-Youth Championship with the team. During the season he also had his first two appearances for the U23 in the major league. In the following season he completed his first season in the second team, where he scored three goals in 21 games. In the second year he increased to five goals and nine assists in 27 games. During his time with the amateur team, he often trained with the first team, but coach Zvonimir Soldo did not plan with him for the 2010/11 season. He then moved to the 3rd division for SSV Jahn Regensburg and signed a contract until summer 2012.

At the Upper Palatinate, he was immediately a regular player and completed 35 of the 38 season games. While he was often used in left midfield, he moved to the central playmaker position the following year. In his second year he was also a fixture in the team until a hip injury in the end of the season put him out of action. The team reached the relegation games, where Temür was substituted on once. Regensburg finally prevailed against Karlsruher SC and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga. Subsequently, however, his contract was not extended. Temür was initially without a club before the third division Rot-Weiß Erfurt signed him in September 2012 . After only five short appearances, his contract for the second half of the 2012/13 season was terminated prematurely. On January 31, Mahmut Temür signed a contract until July 31, 2013 with FC 08 Homburg.

In the summer of 2013 Temür moved to the Turkish second division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . With this club he ended the season as a playoff winner and rose to the Süper Lig . In the Süper Lig he was only used sporadically by the new head coach Rıza Çalımbay and most recently played for the reserve team. For the second half of the 2014/15 season he moved to the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . At this club he worked with Hakan Kutlu , the coach with whom he had worked at Mersin İY a season earlier.

In the summer of 2015 he moved to Adanaspor in the TFF 1st Lig . For the next second half of the season he moved to league rivals Karşıyaka SK . He played here until 2018 and then joined the regional division Alemannia Aachen . With the club he was able to win the Middle Rhine Cup, but his contract was not extended.
