Maja Beutler

Maja Beutler (born December 8, 1936 in Bern ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

Maja Beutler grew up in Bern. She worked as a translator after graduating from the Zurich interpreting school. She also completed several study visits to France, England and Italy. In 1976 Maja Beutler went public with the collection of stories Flissingen is not on the map . In 1983/84 she worked as a resident author at the Stadttheater Bern and also worked for years as a freelancer for the Swiss radio station DRS . She is one of the few Swiss playwrights in German-speaking countries. Today she lives in Bern.
