Maksim Podholjuzin (born November 13, 1992 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian football player . The defender last played for FC Levadia Tallinn in the Estonian Meistriliiga . Due to match fixing, he was suspended from game operations until December 5, 2016.

Career

Maksim Podholjuzin began his career in the Estonian capital at Tallinna JK . In 2006 he joined FC Levadia Tallinn . There he initially continued to play in the youth before he was used for the first time in the second team in the Esiliiga in 2008 . In the first team he made his debut in 2008 in the league game against JK Nõmme Kalju . With Levadia he won the Estonian Cup and Supercup twice in the following years . In 2010 both titles, followed by the cup final won in 2012 against JK Trans Narva where Podholjuzin was able to score the opening goal in the 3-0 final win, and the last title win in 2013 in the Supercup against Nõmme Kalju.

National team

Maksim Podholjuzin came to his first international match for Estonia in the U-17, in May 2008 against Austria. This was followed by further assignments in the U-18 and U-19 age groups. In his only game in the U-18 he was able to score two goals against Luxembourg after substituting for the injured Karl Mööl . Since 2011 Podholjuzin has been an integral part of the Estonian U-21s .
