Dmitri Kruglov ( Russian Дмитрий Александрович Круглов , born May 24, 1984 in Tapa ) is an Estonian football player of Russian descent who is currently under contract with FC Levadia Tallinn . Kruglov is used in the positions of defender and midfielder .

Club career

Kruglov started his career at Hiiumaa ÜJK Emmaste and Tallinna JK in Estonia . In 2003, at the age of 18, he finally moved to the top club FC Levadia Tallinn , where he was champion twice in a row and once a cup winner. He played consistently in defense and was signed for the 2005 season by the Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow .

There he played his first game for the new employer against Terek Grozny . He could not prevail in the last resort and was loaned to league rival FK Kuban Krasnodar in 2006 , but did not play a single match. In the next season he also played on loan for Torpedo Moscow , where he was used 14 times and won the Supercup.

In July 2008 he was signed by the Azerbaijani top club Neftçi Baku for three months on loan and was able to establish himself as a regular player, so that he was firmly committed. In 2010 he moved to local rivals İnter Baku , where he is also used in the first team.

Kruglov is best known for his dangerous free kicks and penalty kicks, from which he scored most of his goals.

National team career

He has played 48 games for the Estonian national team since 2004, having previously played in the Estonian U-19 and U-21 teams. He made his debut for the A-Team on October 12, 2004 in the World Cup qualification against Latvia . His only international goal to date was scored a year later with a penalty in a friendly against Finland .
