Markus Juergenson (born September 9, 1987 in Tartu ) is an Estonian football player who is under contract with FC Levadia Tallinn in the Meistriliiga .

Career

Markus Jürgenson began his career in Tartu at JK Tammeka Tartu . From 2003 he played in the first team of the club from the Meistriliiga. In 2007 he moved from his youth club where he also made his professional debut to FC TVMK Tallinn . There this was used in the elite league as well as in the Esiliiga for the reserve. Markus Jürgenson first played for Estonia in 2008. In the U-21 he played in the Baltic Cup for this age group against Latvia and Lithuania . His father Kalle (* 1960) is an Estonian politician and physicist . His father Aksel (1928–1985) was a professor at the Tallinn University of Technology . Markus' uncle is Toivo Jürgenson (* 1957) also a politician and chairman of the Tallinn Airport Company (AS Tallinna Lennujaam) . He is married to the journalist and publicist Marika Jürgenson (* 1956).
