Career

With the Hungarian team, which consisted of András Balczó and Ferenc Török in addition to Mona , he was four times world champion and 1968 Olympic champion. The team remained undefeated in international competitions for six years in a row. They won the world championship in 1963 , 1965 , 1966 and 1967 . From 1992 he was a member of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (MOB), as well as a member since 1993 and vice-president of the Club of Hungarian Olympic Champions between 1997 and 2004 . In 2005 he received the Cross of Merit of the Hungarian Republic for his extraordinary commitment to modern pentathlon and fencing and for his life's work in sport.

In his autobiography "Élettusa" (Life Struggle), which was published shortly before his death in Hungary, he describes in detail the world of modern pentathlon at that time.
