Aladár Kovácsi (born December 11, 1932 in Budapest ; † April 8, 2010 there ) was a Hungarian pentathlete .

Career

Aladár Kovácsi competed at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 . He finished the individual competition in twelfth place. With the team, which in addition to Kovácsi also Gábor Benedek and István Szondy , he became Olympic champion .

At World Championships in 1955 he also won the title with the team. In the individual, he reached the podium with third place this year. In 1958 he was then again vice world champion with the team.

After his career as an athlete, Kovácsi worked as a gynecologist .
