The Malangutti Sar (also Mulungutti Sar ) is a mountain in the Karakoram in Pakistan's special territory Gilgit-Baltistan .
location
The Malangutti Sar has a height of 7202 m (according to other sources 7025 m , 7140 m or 7207 m ) and is located in Hispar Muztagh . The Malangutti Glacier has its origin on its eastern flank . The Momhil Glacier flows along the western flank . The 7,885 m high Distaghil Sar, connected to the Malangutti Sar by a mountain ridge , is 5.44 km south-east.
Ascent history
The Malangutti Sar was first climbed by a Japanese expedition in 1985. Tadao Sugimoto, Kengo Nakahara and Yasushi Muranaka and Ang Nima Sherpa reached the summit on August 12th.
