Malcolm Donald MacDonald (born September 16, 1865 in Detroit , Michigan , † September 6, 1921 in St. Louis , Missouri ) was an American tennis player .

biography

Apart from MacDonald’s participation in the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis, little is known about him. Since living in St. Louis at the time, he took part in the games and competed in tennis . In the singles he did not get past the second round after a bye at the start, where he was defeated by John Neely 1: 6, 1: 6. In doubles he competed alongside Nathaniel Semple and was defeated with the same result as in singles to the pairing of Dwight Filley Davis and Ralph McKittrick . At the Louisiana Purchase Exposition , he also took part in two other non-Olympic competitions. In each case he was defeated here too at the start.
