Małgosia Bela , actually Małgorzata Bela (born June 6, 1977 in Krakow ), is a Polish model and actress .

Małgosia Bela attended a music school in Kraków and studied Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University . A Polish modeling agency convinced her to go to New York to work as a model. There she worked with photographers such as Paolo Roversi , Peter Lindbergh , Craig McDean , Steven Klein , David Sims , Mario Testino , Mario Sorrenti and Steven Meisel . It appeared four times on the cover of the Italian edition of Vogue . The young Polish film director Małgorzata Szumowska engaged the successful model for her film Ono (English title: Life in me ), which was shown at the Berlinale 2005 in the Panorama section.

Inspired by this work, she began to take acting lessons at the Actors Studio in New York and received a leading role in the Italian film production company Karol - A Man Who Became Pope .

Małgosia Bela has been married to the editor of Lui magazine , Jean-Yves Le Fur , since 2013 .
