Malibu Country is an American sitcom , the first episode ofwhich airedon November 2, 2012 on ABC . The series wasconceivedby Dave Stewart and David Harris and isthe second sitcomafter Reba (2001-2007) with the country singer Reba McEntire as the lead actress. On May 10, 2013, ABC announced that the series would be discontinued after the first season.

Freshly divorced after being cheated on by her husband, Reba moves to Malibu from Nashville . She now lives there with her two children and her mother and tries to give her music career new impetus.

On September 9, 2011, it was announced that ABC had commissioned a pilot episode of Malibu Country , starring McEntire. On May 11, 2012, Malibu Country was ordered as a series. The first broadcast took place on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m., following Last Man Standing , since November 2, 2012. On November 12, 2012 three additional episodes were ordered. On November 28, 2012, a further increase in the number was announced, to now 18. The series was discontinued on May 10, 2013 after only one season.

Malibu Country received average reviews and currently has a score of 14 out of 100 on Metacritic . The first episode had 9.13 million viewers. Malibu Country had the most successful series start on a Friday for over 5 years among the major network channels .

Cash wants to impress girls who are voting in a contest, for which Lillie Mae fakes a collapse and he 'saves' her.

Cash now helps Kim and Lillie Anne bet on horse races as he is well versed in horse anatomy. Because the two threaten to become addicted to games, he gives them the wrong tips to end it.
