Laura Ashley Bell Bundy (born April 10, 1981 in Lexington , Kentucky ) is an American actress , dancer , songwriter and singer .

biography

At the age of nine, Laura Bell Bundy performed in a local theater. In 1993 she was chosen for the portrayal of Tina Denmark in the musical Ruthless! The Musical has been nominated for the Drama Desk Award in the Outstanding Actress in a Musical category. In 1995 she played the character of Sarah Wittle in the film Jumanji . In 2002 she worked on the musical Hairspray , which won the Tony Award . Laura Bell Bundy took part in a US-wide tour of the musical The Sound of Music .

For her portrayal of Elle Woods in the musical Legally Blonde , she was nominated for the 2007 Tony Award in the Best leading Actress category. In 2008 and 2010 Laura Bell Bundy released a country music album under the titles Longing for a Place Already Gone (2008) and Achin '& Shakin' (2010). In 2008 she took part in the musical Rock of Ages .

She made guest appearances in various television series, for example Superman - The Adventures of Lois & Clark , X-Factor: The Incredible , Cold Case , Listen, Who Hammers and How I Met Your Mother . In 2013 and 2014 she played Dr. Jordan Denby in the sitcom Anger Management .
