Malik Batmaz (born March 17, 2000 in Bretten ) is a Turkish - German soccer player . He has been under contract with Karlsruher SC since 2015 .

Career

Batmaz began his football career in his hometown at VfB Bretten . From there he moved to the youth team at SV Sandhausen . In 2015 he switched to the youth team at Karlsruher SC , where he was mainly used in the U-17 and U-19 teams until 2018. He played his first competitive game for the first team of KSC when he came on for Marvin Pourié in the 77th minute of the 6-0 home defeat against Hannover 96 in the first main round of the DFB Cup on August 19, 2018 . He made his first league appearance a week later on August 25, 2018, the 5th matchday of the 2018/19 season, when he came on again for Pourié in the 70th minute of the 0-0 in the southwest derby against 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

On October 15, 2018, Batmaz signed a professional contract valid until 2021. At the end of the season, Batmaz rose to the second Bundesliga after a total of three league appearances and was the top scorer of the A-Junioren-Bundesliga season south / southwest for the U-19 team with 18 goals . In January 2020, he was loaned to VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season , where he is to be used in the second team to gain match practice.

He was also used in the two defeats against Ireland (U17) on September 6 and 8, 2016 for the Turkish U-17 national team.
