Malin Baryard-Johnsson (born April 10, 1975 in Söderköping , as Malin Birgitta Barijard ) is a Swedish show jumper .

In April 2013 it was number 112 in the world rankings. In February 2012 it was ranked 36th.

Career

She started riding when she was six. At the age of 14 she became the Swedish champion.

With the Swedish team, she won silver at the 2001 European Championships in Arnhem, the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In October 2004, five months pregnant, she won the tournament in Hanover and took second place in Stockholm a month later.

In 2007 she was at the top of a number of 5-star Grands Prix (2nd in São Paulo , 4th in Geneva and Rotterdam ). She was also 3rd in the World Cup competition in London and won the Grand Prix in the World Cup competition in Bordeaux .

Due to an injury to her horse Tornesch, she decided not to take part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson has been married to TV presenter Henrik Johnsson since 2004. She gave birth to her first son on February 25, 2005, and another son followed in 2009. In 2004 she released the song Do You Wanna Ride? With the Swedish music group Spånka NKPG . . Since 1996 she has been sponsored by H&M , for which she has also been modeling since then.
