Breeding history
The Swedish Warmblood has its origins in the 17th century. Already at that time, oriental, Spanish and Frisian stallions were crossed with domestic breeding horses. Also, especially at the Stromsholm and Flyinge Trakehner studs , Hanoverians , Arabs and English thoroughbreds were integrated.
Today the Swedish Warmblood is exported all over the world.
