Mallco Chapi is a town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Mallco Chapi is the third largest town in the canton of Mallco Rancho in the district (Bolivian: Municipio ) Sipe Sipe in the province of Quillacollo . The village is located at the western end of the plain of Cochabamba at an altitude of 2554 m on the left, northern bank of the Río Viloma shortly before its confluence with the Río Rocha , the main source of the Bolivian Río Grande .

Mallco Chapi is located between the Bolivian Cordillera Central and the Cordillera Oriental in the transition area to the Bolivian lowlands.

Due to the historically grown population distribution, the region has a high proportion of Quechua population, in the municipality of Sipe Sipe 83.9 percent of the population speak the Quechua language.
