Malrun is a Danish metal / alternative rock band. The band is under contract with Mighty Music and has released three studio albums so far.
history
The band was founded in 2005 and independently released the EPs Longest Road to Come (released in 2007) and Beyond (released in 2008). Then Malrun were signed by Mighty Music. In June 2009 Malrun played in the opening act of the band Staind at their concert in Aarhus . Under the direction of producer Jacob Hansen , the band recorded their debut album Beauty in Chaos , which was released in September 2010.
A year later the band went on a European tour in support of Audrey Horne and played in support of Alter Bridge in late 2011 . The musicians then recorded their second album The Empty Frame , which was released in March 2012. A tour in the opening act of the Apocalyptic Horsemen is planned for spring 2012 .
On July 9, 2014, Malrun announced on their website that they had separated from lead singer Jacob Loebner due to growing incompatible interests and introduced Nicklas Sonne as his successor. The band also emphasized that the release of their upcoming album, with Loebner as lead singer, would continue unchanged.
On August 29, 2014, Malrun's third studio album, Two Thrones , was released.
