Malte Olschewski

Malte Olschewski (* 1940 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian journalist and author.

He studied German and journalism in Vienna . His dissertation is about Tito's partisans . From 1963 he was a local reporter for the Volksblatt , from 1968 editor of the daily newspaper “ Die Presse ” and from 1975 of the “ Arbeiter-Zeitung ”. Malte Olschewski was from 1983 to 1990 editor of the Eastern European editorial office of ORF in Vienna. Together with the director, author and cameraman Ferdinand Macek, he directed the documentary The Secret of the Hemmaberges and worked on the TV documentary "Heilwasser für den Großvezier" by director Ferdinand Macek as a partner of ORF sports legend Sigi Bergmann .

He was one of the participants in the “Art and Revolution” campaign on June 7, 1968 at the University of Vienna, one of the high points of the 1968 student movement .
