Mandy Fredrich

Mandy Fredrich (* 1979 in Belzig ) is a German opera singer ( soprano / coloratura soprano ).

Life

The artist first completed vocational training as a media designer at a television station. At the Berlin University of the Arts she studied vocal pedagogy with Jutta Schlegel, and from 2007 singing with Robert Gambill. This was followed by postgraduate studies with Regina Werner-Dietrich at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . Mandy Fredrich took a. a. Master classes with Renata Scotto , Margreet Honig , Ileana Cotrubas , Peter Berne and Michael Hampe .

Before graduating from college, she made her debut as Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute at Theater Hof. She sang the same role at the Hamburg State Opera , at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, at the Aaltotheater Essen , at the Leipzig Opera at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and at the Landestheater Detmold . In 2012 she made her debut in this role at the Salzburg Festival under Nikolaus Harnoncourt .

At the Deutsche Oper Berlin , Mandy Fredrich could be heard in Marie Victoire by Ottorino Respighi and in Alice in Wonderland by Jens-Peter Ostendorf , where she made her role debut in 2012 as Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro .

In the 2011/2012/2013 seasons she made her debut at the Zurich Opera House as Prima Donna in Donizetti's Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali , at La Scala in Milan as Guardian of the Threshold of the Temple in Die Frau ohne Schatten under Marc Albrecht , in Stuttgart as Ipigénie in Gluck's Iphigénie en Aulide and as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival and in Bielefeld.

The season 13/14 began Mandy Fredrich at the Staatstheater Stuttgart as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. After an engagement in Moscow for Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's hymn of praise , she could be heard at the New National Theater Tokyo as Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro , followed by other performances as Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute at the Hamburg State Opera and at the Teatro del Lago Frutillar -Chile .
