Mandy Winter (born September 25, 1968 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg ; actually Birgit Muxel, née Winter ) is a German singer .

life and work

Winter grew up with her parents Brigitte and Manfred Muxel in Munich's Fasanerie-Nord district . She attended the Sophie-Scholl-Gymnasium . She had her greatest success with the anti-drug song Julian . From November 16, 1987, it was in the German single charts for 23 weeks and made it to number 13. The song was even more successful beyond the borders of Germany and reached number 3 in Switzerland with Two Lovers and the single The Age of Romance was followed by two more chart hits, which were limited to Germany.

With the title song He's a Man for the TV series Peter Strohm , Mandy Winter was successful in the German single charts and in the Austrian Austria Top 40 in 1989 . After various other publications that no longer achieved the success of Julian and Two Lovers , she withdrew from show business. In 1992 Mandy Winter was able to record a small success with Captain Nemo , who came into the top 100 of the radio charts in Germany. Then she worked as a make-up artist and stylist and was the owner of a fashion store.

In 2010 a new album was released after a long time, Christmas on Sylt - Christmas on Sylt , with eleven classic Christmas carols and two new songs.

Mandy Winter is the mother of three children.
