Manfred Allié

Manfred Allié (born 1955 in Marburg ) is a German author and translator .

Manfred Allié works - often together with Gabriele Kempf-Allié - mainly as a literary translator from English, but also as a translator of art, travel and popular science literature. He lives in the Eifel. In 2006 he received the Helmut M. Braem Translator Award for the translation of Die Zeit der Gaben by Patrick Leigh Fermor .
