Manfred Balcerzak (born May 4, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Manfred Balcerzak began his career at Hammer SpVg and moved to the regional league club Lüner SV in the summer of 1971 . There he played for two years and scored one goal in 61 regional league games. In 1973 he switched to Borussia Dortmund , with whom he qualified for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga . Since he only completed twelve missions for Borussia, Balcerzak switched to the club division SC Herford , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1976. Two years later, the Herford team, for whom Balcerzak completed 73 games and scored two goals, rose again. Balcerzak then became player- coach at his home club Hammer SpVg and brought his team after two consecutive promotions from the regional league to the upper league of Westphalia .

In 1981 he ended his playing career and was coach of the upper division SpVgg Erkenschwick , which he was in charge of until April 1983. In 1994 he led the Hammer SpVg again for promotion to the Oberliga Westfalen. In 2005 he was an interim trainer at Lüner SV. In January 2006 he became the trainer of Westfalia Rhynern before returning to Hammer SpVg as sporting director. Since August 2010 he has been working as a youth scout for FC Bayern Munich . Balcerzak works full-time as a teacher for sports and mathematics at the comprehensive school in Hamm.
