Manfred Hölzl

Manfred Hölzl (born September 27, 1941 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate ; † June 5, 2003 ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

Hölzl attended elementary school and high school. In 1960 he joined the police force. In 1963 he became a law enforcement officer with the Bavarian State Police in Hof . Two years later he became a specialist teacher at the Bavarian Police School in Fürstenfeldbruck . From 1974 he took on various management positions in the state police. He then studied at the Police Command Academy in Münster . From 1978 he worked in the police department of the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior , in 1979 he was appointed deputy head of the Fürstenfeldbruck police department. Hölzl was also Vice President of the German Animal Welfare Association in Bavaria.

In 1970 Hölzl became a member of the CSU. From 1972 to 1996 he was city councilor in Fürstenfeldbruck and from 1978 district councilor in Fürstenfeldbruck . From 1978 until his death he sat in the Bavarian state parliament , from 1986 always directly elected to the constituency of Fürstenfeldbruck-Ost . In addition, he was deputy chairman of the working group “Local Issues and Internal Security” and spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group for police issues and spokesman for issues relating to animal welfare.

Hölzl was the recipient of the municipal medal of merit in silver, the constitutional medal in gold and the Bavarian Order of Merit .
