Manfred Hönig

Manfred Hönig (* 1961 in Stuttgart ) is a German painter.

Life

Hönig studied art history , philosophy , physics and psychology in Erlangen and Nuremberg and learned as an autodidact from various painters. After study trips to the USA , South America , Europe , Asia , Australia and North Africa , he worked as a freelance artist from 1984 onwards. He publishes textbooks and teaches painting as a lecturer .

His works have been exhibited internationally since 1984. a. in the Neue Münchner Galerie, in the Grand Palais in Paris , in the Stadtmuseum Erlangen, in the Germanisches Museum Nürnberg as well as in galleries in London , New York , Nancy , Luxembourg as well as Texas and Mexico City . Hönig's pictures were bought by public institutions and some privately.

Manfred Hönig's work has received several awards, including the silver medal of the European Art Academy in Luxembourg in 1991, 1st place at the Prix Robert Vrinat of the city of Metz and the gold medal of the city of Nancy, as well as the European championship for airbrush technology in 1993 and 1994 .
