Manfred Hampel

Manfred Hampel (born June 14, 1942 in Königshütte , Upper Silesia) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Bundestag.

Life

Hampel attended the commercial vocational school in Leipzig and then, after doing his military service with the National People's Army (NVA) from 1962 to 1964 , the engineering school for automation technology. He then went to the Technical University of Dresden , where he graduated as a traffic clerk, engineer for automation technology and graduate engineer. He worked in various management positions and was a member of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment .

In December 1989 he joined the SPD. In 1990 and 1994 he entered the German Bundestag via the Saxony-Anhalt state list . In the 1998 federal election he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Halle-Neustadt - Saalkreis - Köthen . After the federal election in 2002 , Hampel left parliament.
