Manfred Koenigstein

Manfred Königstein (* 1963 in Limburg an der Lahn ) is a German economist and university professor .

Career

Königstein studied economics at the University of Frankfurt am Main . There he received a degree in economics in 1991 . He then went to Iowa City , where he earned an MA in Economics in 1992. He received his doctorate in 1997 at the Humboldt University in Berlin with the dissertation Equity, Efficiency and Evolutionary Stability in Bargaining Games With Joint Production . He completed his habilitation at this university in 2001 and, as a private lecturer, took over a professorship at Saarland University in 2002 .

Koenigstein followed in 2002 a call to the Chair of Applied Microeconomics at the political science faculty of the University of Erfurt . From 2008 to 2011 he was dean of the faculty. He is a member of the Verein für Socialpolitik , a research fellow at the Institute for the Future of Work and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Economic Association of Business Administration . His research focuses on microeconomics , game theory , behavioral economics and experimental economic research .

In May 2018 he signed the appeal The euro must not lead to the liability union! , which was initiated by the economists Dirk Meyer , Thomas Mayer , Gunther Schnabl and Roland Vaubel .

coach

Königstein has also been active as a football coach in Hesse since 2001 and has a B coaching license from the DFB . At FCA Niederbruch, he set up an annual football summer school in 2003. He was active at FCA Niederbruch until 2017. From July 2017 Königstein worked as a coach at SG Nord (Seniors A-League Limburg-Weilburg), and since mid-2019 for the U19 team at JSG Brechen / Weyer.
